Latest EPFO changes 2026 now live on Empxtrack

The Government of India’s EPFO wage ceiling increase raised the statutory wage threshold from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 per month, effective September 17, 2026. With the revised limit taking effect close to month-end, employers had a limited window to update PF and pension calculations before processing payroll.

The EPF changes 2026 affect employee and employer PF calculations as well as pension contributions under the revised wage ceiling. At the ₹25,000 wage ceiling, the standard 12% employee PF contribution has now increased from ₹1,800 to ₹3,000 per month.
