Discretionary Time Off (DTO) is a flexible leave policy that grants employees unlimited paid time off. This flexibility allows them to take leave for vacations, appointments, or personal needs whenever they feel the need to it. 

Although, there are no strict limits on the DTO,  some companies can set guidelines on consecutive days off that may require prior approval from the managers based on their business needs. Unlike traditional vacation policies, unused DTO is not reimbursed when an employee leaves the company.
